Chapter 12
Cal
We arrive back at the apartment drenched. Lily greets us at the door.
âErm, are you wet, Cal?â she asks cautiously, her eyes darting to the window in search of the illusive rain.
Sheâs beautiful and I love her, but is she for fucking real right now?
âYes, Lily, Iâm fucking drenched, but donât worry, Reece here is pretty dry in comparison. Right, Buddy?â I snap.
Lilyâs face drops when the realization hits her that Reece is at fault in some way. Reece shrugs off my veiled accusation and skulks off to his room.
âCal, are you ok? What happened?â she asks, her voice laced with panic.
I brush my hand through my hair. Iâm at the zero-patience point at this minute and the look on my face must have insinuated just that.
âIâll go and make you a coffee. Why donât you go and shower? Bren and Oscar are in the den,â she calls, walking toward the kitchen.
I shower in record time and pull on loose sweats and a T-shirt. I enter the kitchen and walk to Lily, who has her back to me. I bracket my hands around her waist, pushing my chest to her back, and gently kiss her neck, lingering my lips just under her ear. âIâm sorry I snapped at you.â
She slowly turns around. âItâs okay, Cal. Believe me, I know how difficult Reece can be, and in public too? I get it, please donât apologize. Youâre doing amazing.â Fuck, I needed that reassurance.
Lily stretches onto her tiptoes and kisses my lips gently. This is the first time sheâs initiated a kiss and I close my eyes and linger my lips on hers longer. I move my hands down from her hip to her ass and squeeze. She lets out a small moan and her hands go behind my head to my neck, gently caressing my hair. She pushes herself into me. My tongue slips through her mouth and the kiss becomes frantic.
Iâm rock hard and push myself into her farther, grinding into her stomach to give myself some relief. Fuck, that feels good.
A throat clears loudly, making us pull apart. âFuck, Bren, seriously?â I snarl.
My brother chuckles, rolling back on his heels. âHate to fucking cockblock you love birds, but we really need to listen in on this conversation.â I nod my head, kiss Lilyâs nose, and reluctantly slip away.
I walk into the den. âYou sure know how to pick your fucking moments, dipshit. My cock has never been so fucking hard,â I grumble to both my brothers.
âYeah, we can fucking see.â Bren snickers and glares at my pants.
I roll my eyes. âWhatever, this best be good!â I pull my hand down my face in frustration.
Oscar turns the volume up and we listen in to the scene playing out on the screen. Igor, the leader of the Russian gang that we suspect of stealing our goods, is sitting back in his chair like the arrogant kingpin that he was. His face is badly scarred from a severe burn he received as a teenager.
